These appetizer meatballs are easy to make and sure to be a crowd pleaser, whether you go with one of our slow cooker recipes or pastry recipes.

 

Meatball Appetizers are a great party food and snack to enjoy. Using pre-cooked frozen meatballs available from most grocers will make preparing these a snap. Appetizer meatballs are often served in a crock-pot or slow cooker to stay warm, which is why we include slow cooker directions for most of these recipes. Alternatively, they can be baked and then served on a tray with toothpicks. We also included a few of our other favorites that are made with meatballs and refrigerated pastry dough.

 

The Easiest Recipe Ever: Barbecue Meatballs

You Will Need:

1 large package frozen meatballs
1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce

Directions:

Combine meatballs and barbecue sauce in a slow cooker and toss until all meatballs are evenly coated with the sauce. Cook on a medium low heat until the meatballs are heated through. If baking, coat meatballs in sauce and place in 9 x 13 baking pan and bake 8-10 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until meatballs are cooked through.

 

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

For this recipe you can either use our recipe for sweet and sour sauce or buy a bottle of ready made sweet and sour sauce to make it even easier to make.

You Will Need:

1 package frozen meatballs
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup white or rice vinegar
Salt to taste

Directions:

Mix brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, pineapple juice, and vinegar together to create the sauce and pour over frozen meatballs in a slow cooker. Cook on medium low heat until meatballs are heated through.

 

Mushroom Meatballs in Gravy

You Will Need:

1 package frozen meatballs
1 package onion soup mix
1 package brown gravy
1 can of sliced mushrooms

Directions:

Prepare onion soup mix and brown gravy with enough water according to package directions. Pour over meatballs and mushrooms in a slow cooker and stir so all meatballs are evenly coated. Cook on medium low heat until meatballs are heated through.

 

Taco Cups

Frozen meatballs make these taco cups super quick and easy to make.

You Will Need:

1 large package refrigerated biscuits
24 frozen meatballs, thawed
Taco Sauce or Picante Sauce
Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Directions:

Press refrigerated biscuit dough into mini muffin pan lined with muffin liners. In large bowl, mix meatballs with enough taco sauce that just evenly coats them. Press one meatball into each muffin cup and then top with shredded cheddar cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until pastry is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly on top. Garnish with salsa and sour cream.

 

Mini Meatball Subs

You Will Need:

1 package refrigerated biscuits
24 frozen meatballs, thawed
Tomato or Pizza Sauce
Shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Line a mini muffin pan with liners and press one half of the refrigerated biscuit into the pan. Press meatball into the cup and top with a spoonful of tomato or pizza sauce and shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly and pastry is golden brown.
